For couples only

To the degree our souls prospers (our soul matures in Christ) is the degree of which we prosper in other aspects of our life. Husbands and wives are to be and remain cohesive. Stay well bonded at all times.  Ephesians 4:2 'Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.'   Colossians 3:18-19 'Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.'   Do not use petty things (withholding kindness, affection, goodness) as a weapon to fight against our loved one or to use as punishment.  Ephesians 6:12   ' For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.' Do not use petty things as a tool to gain something you want (materially, physically, emotionally) If you use them as a tool to get what you want, you break down the union

The "TO-DO" List

The "TO-DO" List I have a to-do list every day. This ongoing list keeps me focused and helps me remember the things I don't want to forget. The beginning of the year is a cleansing time for my lists. All the things I need to accomplish, packed together and mingled with the things I want to do. Some are very important and necessary. Some are timely issues and some are things that need to be done "just because.' Why are these lists of things so important to me? Why do I NEED to write them down? Why do I need to see them on paper and talk about them in great detail, planning for them so methodically? I need to see them because they are already in my mind and planted in my heart. As I write them down, it magically makes them come ALIVE and they sparkle with hope of accomplishment and new territory to cover on this journey of life. So WRITE little heart, write to your heart's content. As the words in your soul pour through your pen and saturate the blank

The New Year

Wow, it seems that this past year has quickly come and gone by, slipped right passed me and boom! The holidays came with all their hustle and bustle, with so much to accomplish before the final curtain was drawn on the last scene of 2019. The quiet morning of January 2020 waited patiently behind the curtains on the stage, to be introduced, with all it's hopes and promises of a bright new future in this brand new year to come...and again, I believe the promise... a better new year . Not knowing the future and what it holds in store for each of us, I can only hope for the very best. Wishing for health, prosperity and happiness in my life and in the lives of those I hold dear to my heart. I have something special in my pocket that I keep for such occasions. I keep it very close. It is a measure of faith that God has freely given to me. It sparkles in my heart and I know what whatever the future may bring, I will have my faith to keep me through all the journeys I travel in this life

Precious Liquid

Precious Liquid This little bottle holds 24 ounces of the most expensive and precious liquid known to man. It is called TIME . Each day we are given a 'bottle of time', and we are in charge of what we do with it. It is ours to use however we want. The rule is, once poured out, it's gone, used up and you cannot reclaim it. Each ounce we pour from our bottle represents an hour of time. You can keep it, spend it, throw it away, share it, use it, but never retrieve it. Some pour six to eight ounces out for sleep and rest. Some pour eight to ten ounces out for their job. We pour an ounce out here and there and wonder where it all went. If you think of your time as liquid gold, precious and costly, you view the time poured out a bit differently. It is a precious gift, a present from the Lord.   Psalms 90:12  'So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.' Have you ever poured out your 'liquid gold' on things that were not really

Write it down sweet child

Happy New Year! With all the memories of 2019 that want to resurface, I move forward. Thanking God for another year to live with all of the successes and failures, the good and bad, the happy and sad, the tough times and blessed times. Now I have another year to try it again. I still believe in the hope that this year will prove to be better. As I had my morning devotion, I decided that the things I felt God saying to me, I would write them down and share with others. I feel blessed to pour out what God has poured in. This is a bit scary, baring one's soul. It is a leap of faith for me. Some may criticize, some may be bored or entertained. My hope is that you will be blessed by this blog. Write it down sweet child. You can't have the things you want, because your hands are full of things you won't let go. Let them go, sweet child. Hold them no longer. Release it to the wind and as it blows away, you are refreshed. As the clean air brushes across your mind, now fill it wit
